Kopela Primary School is home to 14 qualified and passionate educators who are committed to providing the best possible education for our 430 learners. Each member of our team brings unique skills, experience, and dedication to our school community.
Mr Lepholletsa has served as the Principal of Kopela Primary School for over 15 years. He holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree and an Advanced Certificate in Education (ACE) in School Leadership. Under his capable leadership, the school has grown to serve over 430 learners and has achieved consistent improvements in academic performance. Mr Lepholletsa is deeply committed to the upliftment of the Kopela Village community through quality education and is known for his open-door policy and hands-on approach to school management.
Mrs Molefe serves as the Deputy Principal, bringing over 18 years of teaching experience to the role. She holds a B.Ed. Honours in Education Management and is responsible for curriculum coordination, learner discipline, and day-to-day school operations. Her warm yet firm approach to education has earned her the respect and admiration of both learners and parents. She is passionate about literacy development and oversees the school's reading enrichment programmes.
Mr Kgosana leads the Foundation Phase (Grades R–3), ensuring that the youngest learners at Kopela Primary receive a strong start in literacy, numeracy, and life skills. He holds a Diploma in Education and a B.Ed. in Foundation Phase Teaching. With 12 years of experience, he is an expert in early childhood development and uses play-based learning methods to make education engaging and accessible for all learners in his department.
Mrs Ratlhagane oversees the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–7), managing the curriculum delivery for the more advanced subjects including Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Technology. She holds a B.Ed. Honours degree and has been teaching for 16 years. Her methodical approach to curriculum planning and her dedication to learner support make her an invaluable member of the leadership team. She also coordinates the school's annual academic competitions.

Ms Mokoena specialises in early childhood education, creating a warm and stimulating Grade R classroom where young learners explore, play, and grow. She is trained in the Reception Year curriculum and brings creativity and patience to every lesson.
Mr Mothibi teaches Grade 1 and leads the school's Physical Education programme. A former district-level athlete, he brings energy, discipline, and a passion for sport that inspires learners to stay active and develop healthy habits.
Mrs Setlhare is an experienced Foundation Phase teacher with a passion for phonics and early reading development. She uses storytelling, songs, and hands-on activities to build strong literacy foundations in her Grade 2 classroom.
Mr Tau prepares Foundation Phase learners for the transition to Intermediate Phase with a focus on mathematics proficiency and independent study skills. He also coaches the junior soccer team and organises the school's mathematics competitions.
Mrs Phiri teaches Grade 4 with a specialisation in English First Additional Language. She runs the school's Reading Club and is committed to developing strong English communication skills while honouring learners' home language of Setswana.
Mr Nkwe is a Natural Sciences and Mathematics specialist who makes complex concepts accessible through practical experiments and real-world examples. He manages the school's science equipment and organises the annual Science Fair.
Mrs Moloi is passionate about History and Geography, bringing lessons to life with local Tswana heritage stories and map-reading field trips. She also coordinates Heritage Day celebrations and the school's cultural programme.
Mr Dibe prepares Grade 7 learners for a smooth transition to secondary school. He provides academic mentoring and career guidance, ensuring our senior learners leave Kopela Primary with strong foundations and a clear vision for their future.
Mrs Segale nurtures creative expression through visual arts, music, and traditional dance. She leads the school choir, organises school concerts, and ensures that every learner has the opportunity to discover and develop their artistic talents.
Mr Letlhogela is dedicated to preserving and promoting Setswana language and literature. He incorporates traditional proverbs, folk tales, and oral history into his lessons, ensuring learners develop pride in their linguistic heritage and strong mother-tongue literacy skills.
